A joint meeting between BSCN and ANS was held on 2 May 2025 in Birmingham, in which both BSCN and ANS members participated. The audits related to hyperventilation and photic stimulation, neonatal EEG service evaluation and recommendations, and ulnar neuropathy were discussed.  Thank you to the 2024–2025 audit teams and to all participating centres. 

 The following are the future plans for the upcoming audit cycle:

• Ulnar standards are being revised incorporating points raised from the service evaluation.

• EEG standard development incorporating hyperventilation and IPS updates from this service evaluation.

• Modality specific IONM standard development.

• Revision of melatonin administration for sleep EEG.

Note: Please note the standards for neonatal EEG recording and reporting have changed slightly since this presentation. These are not finalised standards, and the final version will be uploaded after BSCN ratification.
